Safari recommends an automatically generated, alpha-numeric password that is too long for most people to remember. However, syncing it with another device it remembers across the platform. This creates more reason for you to buy other Apple devices because it your Microsoft devices won’t know it. The password generation is driving a network effect.
This should be called a “vertical network effect” because it makes you want more of the same companies products. Where a “horizontal network effect” would be getting friends, family, and other acquaintances to buy a product you have.
